Sea View

In the Spring of 2016 I spent 100 days teaching university students aboard a ship that circumnavigated the globe.  Each day unveiled new geographic territory and waterways for the 700 passengers on board. In contrast to the ample public space we all shared, these photographs represent private moments captured between intense periods of work. The color of the vast oceans, rivers and seas containing subtle hues on the edges of the horizon suggest an immense expanse; yet the portals contain fleeting intimacies that timelessly linger in the imagination.
